Thanksgiving horror as gunman ‘storms into home and shoots four people after dinner’

Two people were killed on Thanksgiving after a gunman walked into a home and opened fire, officers shared. The tragic incident took place on the 1500 block of Baggett Lane in Northwest Houston, Texas.

A man and a woman were shot and killed while another man and a teen were shot and taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.

FOX26’s Matthew Seedorff said in an update at 6.17am GMT: “Police say a family had been celebrating Thanksgiving.  

“A woman’s ex-husband walked into the home’s backdoor and started shooting.  

“The woman and another man were killed. Two others are now hospitalised.  

“The gunman hasn’t been identified and got away.”

Later in the night, Houston Police Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu confirmed the shooting was domestic related.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and will release more details as it becomes available.

It comes just days after a gunman shot and killed six people in a Chesapeake, Virginia Walmart.

Andre Marcus Bing has been named as the Walmart employee who opened fire on Tuesday night.

It also comes just under a week since a shooting killed five people at an Orlando nightclub.

A man armed with multiple firearms, including an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle, who went on a shooting rampage Saturday night at Club Q, a well-known gathering place for the LGBTQ community in Colorado Springs.
