Filipino nurses now in demand in United States

HEALTH-CARE career platform provider announced that nursing roles are now available for Filipino nurses, who are keen to live and work in the United States (US), through its partnership with Sharp BH Global Manpower, a specialist recruitment company based in the Philippines.

This is a welcome development, following the recent visit of US State Secretary Antony Blinken to the country, when he paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. in Malacañang last August 6.

During their meeting, the top American official expressed high regards on US-based Filipino nurses as he praised them for their work ethic, especially when they perform their duties amid  the Covid-19 pandemic.

Compared to other professions in the US, more registered nurse jobs will be available through 2022, according to the American Nurses Association.

To avoid a further shortage, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that 11 million additional nurses are needed.

Apart from tapping American talents, US employers go overseas, including the Philippines to employ qualified nurses.

NCLEX passers will receive a fast-track visa with $4,000 (less tax) bonus prior to client deployment. Nurses without this license, on the other hand, will have access to a free NCLEX preparation course and exam.
