Broadway Grill opens for business in Bay City’s South end – MLive.com

BAY CITY, MI — There’s a new restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in Bay City’s South end.

Broadway Grill recently opened for business at the once-vacant 2020 Broadway St., formerly Big D’s South End Diner & Pizza Express.

Broadway Grill offers waffles, omelets, gyros, salads, fish, burgers and more.

“Our menu is a little bit of everything,” said restauranteur George Gojcaj, who also owns the Country Chef in Clio and previously owned the Country Chef in Essexville.

Customers visiting his newest restaurant can expect to find “good food, good service, good prices,” Gojcaj told MLive/The Bay City Times while waitstaff served lunch to hungry customers Monday, Jan. 23.

The building sat vacant for a few years before Gojcaj bought it. Broadway Grill has only been open for about a week, but word is already spreading.

“I think everybody likes it,” he said. “There was a lineup all weekend long.”

Gojcaj said Broadway Grill offers a weekday breakfast special customers have enjoyed. The special includes two eggs, meat, potato and toast for $5.49 and is available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday. Friday’s all-you-can-eat fish dinner was a hit, too.

Gojcaj has about 10 people on staff and would like to hire 10 more. Job seekers can apply in person.

Broadway Grill is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
